Preparation of electrical diagrams Non-residential electrical installations

Up-to-date diagrams must be available for every non-residential electrical installation. These are required for inspections but also serve as a source of information for anyone operating, maintaining, or modifying the installation. There are various types of diagrams.

RelyOn assists you in drafting, compiling, and updating your electrical diagrams.

Request electrical diagrams

Single-line diagram per panel

This is a schematic representation of all conduits, cables, and components of the electrical installation. For this, we use specific symbols defined in the AREI (General Regulations on Electrical Installations – more information here).

All conduits are designated with a letter. The switches in the distribution board are marked with the same letters. Each branch point is numbered per circuit.

Using AREI symbols, the type of conduit, cross-section and number of conductors, type and characteristics of differential switches, switches, junction boxes, sockets, consumers, etc., are also indicated.

Single-line diagram of the installation – block diagram

This block diagram provides a global overview of the installation and all its consumers.

This provides a clear overview of the various electrical panels in your installation. It clearly shows the power source for the panel. And it shows which consumers are connected to this panel.

Position diagram – site plan

The position diagram shows the exact location of the various electrical components on a building plan.

Examples include:

  • light switches
  • sockets
  • fixed consumers (washing machines, cooling systems, ventilation, etc.)
  • distribution boards
  • underground cables
