BA4 Training - instructed person: working safely around electricity BA4 Training

This BA4 training – instructed person – is a mandatory course to be allowed to perform limited electrical tasks in the workplace. Examples include: replacing a lamp, cleaning around electrical installations, etc.

Basic knowledge of electricity is not a requirement. Employees such as maintenance staff, office managers, logistics staff, etc., are eligible for this training.

In this BA4 training, participants learn to recognize and assess hazards and act appropriately. Large or small industrial accidents involving electricity occur almost daily.

Legislation therefore mandates specific training for anyone working near electrical installations.

BA4 training instructed person: theory, awareness, and practical examples

This is precisely because our training courses do not only contain theoretical information, but primarily increase awareness and insight regarding the vital importance of safety around electricity.

What are you capable of after this BA4 training?

During this BA4 training, we explain the operation of various safety devices, such as circuit breakers and residual current devices, in a simple manner.

This ensures your employees know when they are protected and when they are not. Knowing and recognizing potential risks in an electrical installation is one of the most important ways to prevent industrial accidents.

After this training, as a BA4 instructed person, you may:

  • perform all operations in an electrical cabinet in front of the protective cover (dead front)
  • replace a lamp in a non-domestic installation
  • perform physical work on an electrical installation as long as it is de-energized.

To be certain: entering a high-voltage cabin or high-voltage installation is not permitted for individuals with a BA4 certificate.

Important!

After completing this BA4 training from RelyOn, you will receive a BA4 Instructed Person training certificate that is valid for 5 years.

Please note! You may only actually start working as a BA4 Instructed Person after your employer has issued a declaration of competence to you (based on your obtained training certificate).
