Training: Know your legal obligations as an employer and prevention advisor GREI legislation

Anyone working on electrical installations is responsible when something goes wrong. This sounds logical, but is it entirely correct? It is not that simple. Within companies, there is always a hierarchical structure in which everyone bears their own responsibility.

This training is designed as a refresher on the legal obligations under the GREI for employers (management) and prevention advisors in organizations or companies with electrical installations.

Concise or extensive version

This training can be delivered in a concise or extensive format, with a duration ranging from 1 hour to half a day. Depending on your profile and specific needs, we determine the depth of the subject matter.

What is covered in this training?

We review all the obligations you have as an employer or prevention advisor to ensure legal compliance with the General Regulations on Electrical Installations (GREI).

These topics will be covered:

  • What documentation must you be able to present in case of an inspection?
  • What materials, training, and documentation must you provide for your technical staff?
  • Which documents must be included in the technical file of your electrical installation? And no, simply providing electrical schematics is not sufficient.
  • What steps should you take in case of violations during an inspection?
  • What should you do in the event of an accident at work caused by electricity?
  • Who are the installation responsible and work responsible within your company?
  • What is the difference between BA4 and BA5 personnel? What types of work are they permitted to carry out?
  • What is the difference between a training certificate and an employer’s declaration of competence?
  • How frequently must your electrical installations undergo inspection or testing?

Naturally, there is room for specific questions and situations. We are happy to provide the exact obligations for each situation.
