Electrical Engineer We are looking for an

Companies want their electrical installations to comply with electricity legislation. They must be documented in a comprehensive technical dossier: electrical diagrams, cable calculations, overview of external influences, etc. As an engineer, you help companies finalize the technical files of their electrical panels, ensuring they receive the green light from the inspection body.

What will you be doing?

  • Drafting (or redrafting) electrical diagrams based on what you encounter in practice.
  • It sometimes involves some detective work to check, update, and draw the diagrams.
  • To be clear: this is NOT about electrical wiring
  • Preparing cable and short-circuit calculations, mostly for existing installations but also as advice during the concept phase of a new installation, using professional software (Caneco BT), to verify that the cables are not undersized and have sufficient breaking capacity.
  • Compiling a technical file in accordance with current legislation, which mandates this for every owner, manager, or operator of an electrical installation.
  • Performing various types of risk analyses
  • Determining the external influences of a building
  • Providing written advice on how the client can make their electrical installation safer
  • The working area covers all of Flanders (with a significant presence in the Antwerp-Brussels-Ghent triangle)
  • A day can consist of a series of smaller tasks, but a long-term project can just as easily take several days
  • In practice, this translates to +/-60% travel to clients, and +/-40% at the office or at home
  • An average week roughly consists of 3 days of travel, 1 day at the office, and 1 day of working from home

Are you the one?

  • You have a background in Energy, Electricity, Electromechanics, or Electronics
  • Above all, ‘drive’ is what counts. We are looking for someone who fits into our team of enthusiasts, with knowledge of (and a passion for) electrical installations
  • We are looking for someone who identifies with the following qualities: solution-oriented, open, honest, and transparent in communication, a ‘self-starter’ who can distinguish between primary and secondary issues and can delve into legislation
  • A critical mindset that provides some ‘pushback’ is certainly welcome
  • Can you spot opportunities for cross-selling or upselling with a client? Ideal!
  • The primary language is Dutch. Knowledge of English is a must, knowledge of French is a plus

What we offer in return

  • Your remuneration is, of course, important. You can therefore count on a complete and attractive package. In addition to your salary, this includes various benefits such as:
    • Meal vouchers €8
    • Company car
    • Laptop
    • Smartphone data plan
    • Hospitalization insurance
    • Group insurance
    • Home office allowance
    • Allowance for car wash, …
  • We would like to get to know you, discuss this with you, and tailor this package based on your knowledge, skills, and experience. The goal is for you to feel valued in this regard.
  • Personal development, with tailored training, consultation, and the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in a company that is part of a leading international group
  • The job description is quite unique. You will be working in a niche market
  • You work 40 hours per week, so you receive 32 days of leave per year
  • Flexibility! For us, the results you achieve are what matter most
  • We are proud of our open corporate culture, not only towards our clients but also towards you.
